SAN FRANCISCO – January 20, 2015- Prosper Marketplace, a leading online marketplace for consumer credit, today announced it has named Josh Tonderys Chief Operating Officer. Josh has served as Prosper Marketplace’s Chief Risk Officer since October of 2012, a role that he will continue to hold in addition to his expanded role. As COO, Josh will also oversee Prosper Marketplace’s Corporate Development team, as well as borrower Customer Experience and Investor Services.

Prior to Prosper Marketplace, Josh worked at Barclaycard US where he oversaw strategy, analytics, and growth initiatives for the Barclaycard branded credit card portfolio. While at Barclaycard, Josh was also the Head of Acquisitions and Portfolio Risk, where he was responsible for setting analytical credit risk strategies for Acquisitions and Portfolio Risk Management, as well as Head of Collections Strategy. Prior to Barclaycard, Josh held various credit risk roles at BankOne, now Chase Card Services.
